| This weekend, instead of getting drunk and going to the bars downtown I decided to go to the hockey club's open skate. It was pretty much the hockey team's optional practice. It was an excellent choice as a getaway from the regular weekend routine. I've never played ice hockey before. But I've played many "Mighty Ducks (1,2, & 3)" inspired rollerhockey games when I was younger. It pretty much seemed like the same thing. For me not ice skating since I was in about 6th or 7th grade, I did a great job not falling at all. Even though Mike tried to get physical when I was on defense. Feb. 15th at the Coralville Ice Rink is the first game that I'll be featured in. Don't tell Coach Fishler, he'd have a hissy fit if he found out I was playing hockey. |
