| I guess it's been a while since October. There's too much to fit in this tiny post so I'll keep it brief. Since my last post, we finished our football season. We ended 4-6 which isn't exactly the best in the conference. We did show some good signs towards the end of the season that leave a good taste in your mouth going into off season workouts. My first half of the hockey season has gone well. I haven't scored as much as I did last year but we are winning more so I'll take it. We won so much that they made us move into a higher division. The 2nd half of the season starts next week. It's been too long of a layoff. Since I don't play enough sports as it is, I picked up boxing in January. I'm still learning but Coach Mike has taken a liking to me and is trying to train me to fight in tournaments. I got go spar yesterday and it was an eye-opening experience. It's a lot harder than I thought. It's real easy to hit bags and pads. There's a little more difficulty when you're trying to not get beat up while attempting to throw your punches. I still landed some good shots and didn't show too many signs that it was my first time in the ring. I wish I would've started when I was younger. |
