Texas Vacation: Day 2
03.16.08 (6:58 pm)   [edit]

Note to self... be one of the first to take a shower when you have 9 people in one house. I guess a cold shower wasn't that bad of a way to start the day. Stacy decided to go to work with Megan while Big D and Craig went with D-Wiz's work. They're both teachers and apparently it's cool if random people show up. Tia and I were still knocked out by the time they got back. Later on, Wiz picked Andrea and Cedric up from the airport. We let them get a tour and unwind for 2 seconds before we headed out to Happy Hour at Baker Street Pub & Grill. Who has Happy Hour for 6 or 7 hours? I wasn't complaining though.

We drank... and drank... took pictures... played pool... and drank some more. We had some bar food which was top notch. I could see why Megan and Wiz liked that place. I swear it was like singles night. Everyone at that place was cool. It was a pleasant surprise. Some of Megan's friend joined us and one of them decided to show off her knockers (thank God for digital cameras). There isn't much to tell besides the numerous "you should've been there" stories. The night cap at the Wiltz house was brief and we all passed out earlier than expected.

Oh, I almost forgot... a special middle finger goes out to Kroger grocery store for not serving us alcohol at 11:56 p.m. Texas has some B.S. law that you can't buy booze after midnight on a weeknight. We got to the cashier 4 minutes early and she needed to see all of our ID cards. Since Big D, Craig, and I all have out of state licenses, she said she couldn't serve us. WTF? So I took off sprinting to 7-11 to buy some beer before midnight but by the time we got finished arguing with the Kroger lady and my lazy sprint, I got to 7-11 just in time to be denied. Son of a bee sting. So we had to drink the hard stuff until we decided to head to bed.
