Beef Days
07.22.06 (5:42 pm)   [edit]

The people of Solon love me. That is why I made a guest appearance at Solon's Beef Days. Talk about small town Iowa. The action started early with the hay bail toss competition. This year, a bunch of football players from the University of Iowa entered the competition. The first guy to throw was Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones!!! A lot of drunkards yelled that when his turn came up. Even Drew Tate entered the competition. I'm pretty sure he made the 16 and up females moist. I don't get it but whatever. The winner was the swole ass offensive lineman named Mike Elgin with a throw of 14 feet. It was a new Beef Days record.

After the lengthy competition, we made our way to the beer tent. The lady checking IDs looked at mine, and then commented on how she graduated from high school the same year I was born. She gave me her mischievous smile and said, "It was a good year." I gave a quick response of, "Fuckin right!" That's the year that world was stuck dealing with me. The only thing that sucked about the beer tent was the limited selection of Miller Lite, regular Miller, Killians, and Leinenkugels Berry something. It was only $2 a beer which was a surprise to me. Usually they try to rape you on price at these types of deals. You gotta love Solon.

Ditch, Lown, Dre, and I got hungry so we made our way down to Joensy's for dinner. We could've eaten carnie food but you might as well sit down since you've been standing for hours. Plus the food at Joensy's is good. I'm just glad I didn't hear drunken Phi-O or Theta chants coming from the party room. You know those chants are "sofa king" annoying.

I wasn't there for the beer. I was there to get more material for my stand up comedy career.

Man, I miss those chants so much! I would try it in med school... but I don't think these drunken nerds would catch on. Either Phi O or Theta or something else... I did see you wear a dress of mine that I donated to the Phi O Box back in the day the day... so don't say u haven't been to some of our functions (either O or Theta!!) How is the Hill Top? Aren't u a SR by now??
