quote of the week
02.16.07 (9:17 pm)   [edit]

I went out to dinner with Marie and Kasi and our waitress was a Cornell student. She gave us good service and was really spunky. I say spunky cause I couldn't think of another word. She was really upbeat. She was cute and Marie and I joked about the jokes she was leaving herself open for. An example would be when she asked how we were doing and then she turned to me and said, "Is there anything I can do for you?... drink wise or anything..." There was a long pause and I almost laughed at the various comebacks that were floating through my gutter mind.

Later in the meal, she asked if I wanted my water topped off. I said yes and then we went back to talking. 10 minutes later, I noticed she hadn't been back. By now, I was finished with my water and I was down to the ice. She eventually came back and I told her that she forgot about me. She said...

"I just wanted to make you wait for it. That way when you finally get it, it will be that much more satisfying."

And you wonder why men think with their wieners.

BS Valentine's Day
02.14.07 (9:07 pm)   [edit]

Why the F*%k do we celebrate Valentine's Day? People make such a big deal out of this day. It's not even funny. A bunch of people from my job left early to prepare for their Valentine's Day plans. I jokingly told some people that today was a conspiracy involving the government, Hallmark, and Russel Stover. I'm sure I could google Saint Valentine and look up the history of this day but I really don't care. I'd rather talk about all the extra things people do on the 14th of February.

Why is it that the guy is supposed to do all the work? He better buy flowers. He better have an amazing dinner planned. You get where I'm going with this. I actually don't know where I'm going with this. To sum this up, people put too much emphasis on not screwing this day up. Enjoy your spouse (or your hands/toys) as many days of the year as you can and laugh at the people who stress over a perfect Valentine's Day.

Wait a minute, I remember something else I wanted to say. Why do people send you Valentine's Day text messages when they don't normally call you? One person sent me one of these "special" messages and I haven't talked to them since November of '06. Nice to see you too. I could probably go on forever with this rant but I'll stop now. Have a great February 15th - 28th!!!

Buy This List
02.04.07 (3:09 pm)   [edit]

Some time in early December, I made a list of things that I should by for myself. Some of the stuff is need based and others are wants. This list came up due to boredom at work and me realizing that I needed to treat myself. My list consists of the following:

- toaster
- digital camera
- dresser
- flat screen computer monitor
- new mattress
- good kitchen knives
- kitchen island
- bar style table with 2 chairs
- TV
- TV stand
- better pans
- quality kitchen utensils
- alarm clock
- CD case for DVDs
- food processor
- printer
- rug for living room

The only things left to get are the food processor, digital camera, and the table with chairs. I think the table will be the hardest to find cause I'm very picky. Derek has been helping me with the digital camera. I'm trying to find one that has great features and can also fit in my pocket so I can take embarassing pictures of friends when we go out. I think this will be my next buy.

My most recent gift to myself came on Friday. My new TV came in at Best Buy. Derrick brought his dad's truck to lug that bad boy over to my house, along with the new TV stand. I love this TV.

Check it out...
