We finally won a game on Saturday. We played a checking game against Loras College and it was filled with lots of hits. I got 2 minutes in the penalty box for an illegal check when I floored one of their guys as he skated with the puck. I broke my stick in the process. It was right in front of our fans and it put the guy on his back and everyone cheered. I think it was a legal hit. The ref was just hatin'.

I scored my first goal in that same game. They said I had a smile from ear to ear. Can you blame me? I'm used to scoring touchdowns, not goals. I can get used to this. Baseball season is starting tomorrow. I'll have to  see if I can juggle both baseball and hockey without my coach finding out. We'll see.

Due to the fact that our professor gave the class a take home test, a majority of us in the class were like zombies today. Giving college kids a take home test Friday that's due Monday morning is just asking for procrastination. I managed a 3 or 4 10-minute naps here and there. I guess going to work, playing a hockey game, watching a basketball game, watching NFL playoffs, and drinking were more important than academics this weekend. It's all about time management. And I guess our class just doesn't have it.

You know its bad when the guy who won't shut up during lecture is dead silent, almost falling asleep. I showed up 20 minutes late and we got out 30 minutes early. That's my kind of class. Man I can't wait for block break to be here.
